We've selected the following oils with the intention of creating a face lotion that hydrates and delivers supple-looking skin.
Here is a deep dive into the oils that we use and their natural healing properties that it has on the skin.
MEADOWFOAM SEED OIL: This incredible oil helps to lock in moisture and keeps the skin in a perfectly well-balanced condition due to the similarity to our sebum ( oils that are naturally on our skin). This oil is great for hormonal issues, seasonal dryness, and for combination skin. Meadowfoam seed is naturally high in Vitamin E, which provides environmental protection from UV rays and pollution. Meadowfoam oil is a lightweight oil that leaves your skin glowy and plump.
TAMANU + ROSEHIP OIL: These two oils are the holy grail of oils. They deeply penetrate and repair the skin on the cellular level. It helps with acne scars (Maria can attest to that as she suffered from cystic acne) age spots, wrinkles, skin dryness, cellulite. It promotes collagen production which keeps the skin looking dewy and healthy.
SEABUCKTHORN OIL: Because this oil is loaded with antioxidant vitamins (60 potent antioxidants and 20 minerals, and vitamins B1, B2, K, C, A and, E) and omega oil (3,6,7 and 9) it is pretty much a favorite anti-aging ingredient amongst beauty insiders. Seabuckthorn is great for acne sufferers as it helps to stop the oil glands from excessively producing sebum and promotes skin cell turnover (exfoliation). It boosts collagen production which helps to diminish fine lines and wrinkles and create a dewy, supple-looking complexion.
FRANKINCENSE ESSENTIAL OIL: Frankincense is an oil-balancing, blemish-clearing, skin-brightening oil. It naturally has astringent properties that help with excessive sebum production great for helping to reduce acne and the appearance of pores. It also has a tightening effect and improves the tone and elasticity of the skin. It is no wonder that this mystical oil has been in usage for centuries.
VETIVER ESSENTIAL OIL: Is known as the ultimate healer as it promotes the regeneration of the skin. It stimulates cell turnover (exfoliation) which has the ability to strengthen and rejuvenate the skin. Reduces the appearance of fine lines, blemishes, and scars.
CYPRESS ESSENTIAL OIL: Due to its antiseptic properties, Cypress oil is great for thoroughly cleansing the pores. Which is wonderful for acne sufferers. It tones the skin. Leaving your complexion, firm, vibrant, and lifted.
