How To Prevent Acne From Mandatory Covid-19 Face Mask

beauty shot on beach

Summer acne is hard enough to deal with but now we have what is now known as "makne" from needing to wear our PPE (personal protective equipment) masks all the time. The humidity and the constant rubbing is breeding grounds for acne and/or clogged pores to develop.

What to do about it?

First of all, cleansing and light exfoliation are key. We want to gently unplug any makeup residue, dirt, waterproof sunscreen that is trapped in our pores daily. It is the reason why we love cleansing our skin with a cleansing balm and a face cloth. Using a face cloth will add 3 minutes to your skincare regimen but we swear, it is a game-changer.

Next, apply a lightweight serum, like our "Turn On The Light" or "Sacred Rose" hyaluronic face serum. Although it is ultra-lightweight, it packs a powerful punch of anti-aging qualities and hydration that your skin will love.

This is all that we used while trekking through South East Asia in the summer months where humidity levels could reach 85-90%. No acne or clogged pores!

Don't forget your sunscreen! Protecting your skin from nasty UV rays is a must!
